Wind Jet to establish a new base at Forli

Wind Jet (volawindjet.it) (Catania) will open a new base at Forni by March 30, 2009 following the withdraw of Ryanair. A 145-seat Airbus A319 will be based at Forni with a further two planned. The company will serve domestic markets (Cagliari, Catania, Olbia and Palermo) as well as international destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Bucharest, Krakow, Moscow, Paris, Prague, Riga, St. Petersburg, Samara and Timisoara. The airline plans to have four A319s and nine A320s by next summer. Wind Jet commenced operations on June 17, 2003.
